Abstract Title: Numerical analysis of substrate influence on fracture mechanisms in PVD deposited TiN coatings

Biography: Bartłomiej Kowal completed his master’s degree in engineering in Technical Informatics at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. He is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science, specializing in Materials Science. His academic and research interests focus on numerical modeling of physical processes, with an emphasis on multiscale simulations involving thin films and coatings. Bartłomiej has practical experience with advanced computational tools such as ABAQUS and CAD software like CATIA V5, as well as programming skills in C, C++, Python, and Java.
