Abstract Title: Sunitinib-Eluting Elastomeric Implants for Diabetic Retinopathy and AMD Treatment: A New Paradigm in Ocular Drug Delivery

Biography:

Professor Husam Younes earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada, and is a leading researcher in drug delivery and biomaterials. He has pioneered the development of biodegradable elastomeric polyesters for applications in tissue engineering and controlled drug delivery. He has held academic positions in Canada and Qatar, including serving as Founding Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Qatar University. His research has been supported by international funding bodies and has led to impactful collaborations, publications, and innovations in ocular drug delivery and regenerative medicine.
